Estrategias de marketing para prevenir los desórdenes alimenticios en los estudiantes de la ESPOCH.

Introduction: This study addresses the behavior patterns of students that leads to an eating disorder and is increasingly common among adolescents and young adults, which brings serious physical and psychological consequences and even leads to death, identifying its main causes and types of eating disorders emphasizing prevention with the use of marketing strategies encouraging and promoting correct food health. Objective: Explain the behavior and eating practices of Espoch students that cause eating disorders. Methodology: The study is descriptive, observational and cross-sectional, in which a non-random sample was selected at convenience, made up of 273 polytechnic students. Results: The main factors of eating disorder are lack of time, excessive workload, skipping meals, eating poorly nutrition, having a low mood, anxiety or stress that are commonly presented for various economic, love, and social reasons or relatives. Conclusions: The prevalence of eating disorders in the studied group is significantly low. Women have a higher degree of distortion than men, especially in the overestimation of self-image.
