Introduction. Adolescence is the stage of life between 10 and 19 years old and pregnancy at this age is of greater risk than the general population. Objective. Determine the risks and complications that may arise as a result of pregnancy in adolescence. Methodology. The information that has been obtained in the investigation has been carried out using a clinical question with the PICO format, in addition to reviewing virtual libraries such as Pub Med, EBSCO, ACCESSSS, Cochrane, as well as scientific information search engines such as DynaMed, UptoDate, Google Schoolar, to find scientific information on adolescent pregnancy care. Results. 45 articles have been found that meet all the inclusion criteria analyzed. Discussion. Adolescence is a stage in which there is a certain degree of physiological and anatomical immaturity that can predispose to complications that could occur during pregnancy. Conclusions. Adequate prenatal control and the corresponding advice can lead to a reduction in the risk of complications that can occur during pregnancy in adolescence.
