A scientific and academic event organised by the University of Valencia, Spain, and the Faculty of Public Health of ESPOCH as part of their cooperation agreement.

During the two presentations, guest speaker Estefani Tapia, a doctoral student, presented the preliminary results of a study that collected data from children in Ecuador and Spain. The results of the study suggest that the diagnosis of parasitic infection in the paediatric population may be underestimated. Furthermore, it is important to note that parasites have the capacity to exert a detrimental effect on the nutritional status of those affected.
